Thanks for the boat, our M.D was pleased. I have been approached by another member of staff who has shown an interest in the boat. I mentioned to him the boat was with a special discount. He’s still interested in spite of me trying to dissuade him not to waste your time. Could you let me know what can be done for him?

I thought that I would let you know that the HMS Victory arrived safely the other day. Even after seeing the level of finish and attention to detail of your other models, when we met on your stand at the London Boat Show, I was still immensely impressed and pleased with the actual ship. Thank you for taking the time to add the additional paint to the hull. It was certainly worth waiting for and will now be a happy and permanent reminder of my childhood in Pompey.
I hope PSM continues to succeed as it deserves (hopefully helped by our picture in Canal Boat Magazine this month!!) and I would be most grateful if you would send me a copy of your catalogue so so that I can 'spread the word' to others who will no doubt be equally impressed when I put the HMS Victory on display.

History of HMS Victory
The HMS Victory is a first rate ship of the Royal Navy and the oldest naval ship still in commission. The ship was completed in 1765 and served as a flagship for three famous captains of the Royal Navy. In 1778, HMS Victory was the flagship of Admiral Sir Augustus Keppel’s fleet in the battle of Ushant and captured a French convoy in the area later that year.
HMS Victory model ships from Model-Ships.co.uk are available to commemorate this long standing flagship of the Royal Navy. From her initial commission through the battles against Napoleon to her time as a museum of British Naval History, the HMS Victory has remained a favorite among collectors. HMS Victory and other custom model yachts and sailboats from model ships preserve the beauty and majesty of historic vessels.
HMS Victory was Lord Howe’s flagship at Cape Spartel. In 1782, the ship was used in Gibraltar under the command of Lord Howe. Ten years later, the ship became the flagship of the Mediterranean fleet under the command of Vice Admiral Sir Samuel Hood and the following year, she became the flagship of Admiral Sir John Jervis at Cape St. Vincent and was used by Jervis to consolidate his force at Gibraltar and was used as a hospital ship in 1798.
HMS Victory was rebuilt beginning in 1800 and three years later; the ship became the flagship of Lord Nelson’s Mediterranean Fleet. The extensive repair and reconstruction included stripping and dismantling the ship for repairs and adding additional guns. As Napoleon was beginning to formulate his plan to invade England, Victory returned to service in the Mediterranean.
Under the command of Lord Nelson in the Mediterranean, HMS Victory fought against several French ships such as Redoutatable, Neptune and Bucentaure. In battle with Neptune, Nelson was sounded by a French sharp shooter and died. However, Nelson was able to destroy the French and end the threat of an invasion by Napoleon..
HMS Victory remained a flagship in the Baltic after the death of Lord Nelson until 1824. In 1922, HMS Victory was dry docked and made into a museum. During World War II, HMS Victory was damaged in dry dock by a German bomb.
